Cory Aquino described as the “symbol of People Power and an inspiration to others around the world struggling against tyranny” because she has given out her greatest contribution in our country.
I have seen and gladly watched “Cory ng Edsa”, a musical play which speaks about Cory — the story of Cory (portrayed by Cindy Maree Liper) who, despite her own disinterest in politics ran against the most powerful man in the country as a way to continue her husband’s dream for change. But the play is more than just about Cory. Hence, either portrayed in the musical play or in reality, what was happened during that time is not only about her, but about all of us Filipinos, the heroes of Edsa and the sacrifices we have made for our country. Their stories represent the simple heroism of Filipinos during the Edsa revolt.
I was impressed how they presented the events happened during Edsa Revolution plus the fact that they showcase their talents and voices into that captivating masterpiece. Sounds were equipped with great vocals and dance synchronization which I believe is hard to do but they didn’t fail to do so.
It was so great. I was inspired and proud that I am Filipino because watching this play in the theater reminds me that every Filipino is capable of heroism, of sacrifice for country. Even the most unexpected person can be a hero. I loved this too cause the message clearly states how to make stand and to become proud of being brave Filipinos.
